The hit series “The Chosen” has captivated audiences worldwide with its portrayal of Christ and his disciples, and fans eagerly await season five’s theatrical release this March.

Actor Giavani Cairo, who plays Apostle Jude Thaddeus, says the show has deepened his faith.

Raised Catholic in Michigan, Cairo drifted from his faith but rediscovered it while pursuing acting in Los Angeles.

Feeling unfulfilled in 2018, he auditioned for “The Chosen” and started praying daily.

Though initially sceptical of the low-budget, faith-based series, Cairo was impressed by its writing and vision.

Playing Thaddeus has transformed Cairo and inspired him to “be a better person,” he told OSV News.

As the narrative of “The Chosen” approaches Christ’s death and resurrection, Cairo said the story’s message is timeless: to spread love and the Gospel.

“We all know where this story is headed, but in the grand scheme of things, we all have the responsibility to share it, and that will never end,” he said.
