This past month, Sydney was fortunate to have hosted popular Catholic podcaster Matt Fradd and his wife Cameron at a number of its parishes.
The Aussie’s popularity has grown with the success of his podcast Pints with Aquinas which has gained millions of views due to the array of fascinating guests and engrossing topics.
One of the show’s most watched episodes was with Fr Andrew Dalton LC, a Catholic priest of the Legionaries of Christ and Holy Shroud expert whose three-hour appearance has been seen by 3.4 million people to date.

Now Fr Dalton, who is also a professor of theology and lecturer in sindonological studies at Othonia Institute, Rome, will travel to Sydney to address an intellectually engaging and spiritually enriching two-day conference on the Holy Shroud of Turin.
Fr Dalton will headline the conference along with other high-profile speakers drawn from the international community of sindonological studies—David Rolfe, independent documentary filmmaker (of Silent Witness) and William West, author of Riddles of the Shroud: Questions science can’t answer.
Along with President of Campion College Dr Paul Morrisey they will explore the historical, scientific, and religious significance of the precious relic.

“With these foundational elements, we believe that this relic of import is a means by which the church can provide a path of encounter and evangelisation to the world today,” said organiser Stephen Buhagiar.
The conference scheduled for 27-28 June at the Liverpool Catholic Club will include interactive sessions with the presenters and the opportunity for participants to encounter a high-quality exhibition of an exact representation of the Shroud along with associated artefacts.
The Archdiocese of Sydney is a silver sponsor of the conference and Bishop Richard Umbers will provide a keynote on the opening night.
Following the conference, Fr Dalton will also be guest speaker at the Scholarship in the Cathedral event held at St Mary’s Cathedral in July.
