Pope Francis sends letter to the people of Nicaragua amid Catholic persecution

Most read

Published on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Pope Francis sent a letter to the people of Nicaragua, telling them he is with them.

With a heartfelt and pastoral tone, the pontiff tells them that they should trust in God, because he is present even in the most difficult moments, adding that he is certain that faith and hope work miracles.

The political climate in Nicaragua continues to worsen. A few days ago, Daniel Ortega again reformed the Constitution. Among the changes, his wife will now be “co-president” and will have control of the three branches of government.
