The Campaign Life Coalition has chosen “Protection at Conception” as the theme for the 2025 National March for Life in Canada.

Pro-lifers will rally in front of Parliament and march through downtown Ottawa, Ontario, on 8 May “demanding that elected representatives fight for the right to life of every human being from conception to natural death,” the coalition said.

The theme is inspired by the biblical passage Matthew 13:31-32, drawing parallels between the growth of a mustard seed and the potential of the preborn.

Maeve Gainey, a youth coordinator for the coalition, emphasized that even the smallest lives are invaluable “because they were created in the image and likeness of God.”

The event will also feature the Save the Babies Leaders Summit and a Rose Dinner Gala, with keynote speaker American pro-life author and presenter Emily Stimpson Chapman.

A Catholic, she will speak on the importance of protecting life from conception, while rejecting abortion and in vitro fertilisation. The March for Life marks the anniversary of Canada’s 1969 abortion law.
