Ascension presents new podcast “Rosary in a year” debuted at #1 on Apple podcasts on 1 January 2025, overtaking the world’s most popular podcaster, Joe Rogan.
Led by Fr Mark-Mary Ames CFR, the third instalment of the “in a year” series, hopes to deepen the listeners’ relationship with God and Our Lady through the rosary, by providing meditations and reflections using Scripture, Sacred Art and other resources.
Having had difficulties with the rosary himself after his conversion to the Catholic Church, Fr Mark-Mary Ames guides listeners in a step-by-step journey of no more than 15 minutes a day to break down any barriers or misunderstandings people may have with the rosary.
The six phases of “The Rosary in a Year,” will look at what it means to pray, focusing on prayers of the rosary and what they mean as well as diving int the mysteries of the rosary.
In an interview with Catholic News Agency (CNA), Fr Mark-Mary said he hopes the phases will help to build “the muscle of prayer.”
“I think there’s a reason the rosary is so popular across demographics, across centuries, [and it’s] because it is really in many ways a great unmatched means of prayer,” he said.
During a virtual press conference 28 October 2024, he also said he hopes “listeners and those who make this journey with us … fall in love with the rosary because they experience it as … a privileged door for encounter with Our Lord and Our Lady.”
