Two religious sisters played a key role in promoting devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus through private revelations and spiritual writings. Their lives and experiences helped shape prayers, practices, and a feast now recognised by the church.

By contemplating Christ’s face, especially in his suffering, we recognise the seriousness of sin and the depths of divine mercy and we are called to imitate his humility and charity. To contemplate the face of Christ is to enter into deeper communion with him.
