All too often, we are confronted by images that shock us and make us angry. The images leave a lasting impression. This is certainly true of the Olympic opening ceremony’s tasteless bastardisation of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” Instead we should value art that reveals the good, true and beautiful.

Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP has joined Catholic bishops in protesting the Olympic Games’ opening ceremony parody of the Last Supper, encouraging the faithful to voice their protests not just on social media but to the Lord himself, present in the tabernacle.
