There’s a quiet beauty to Mitch Kenny’s decision to go on field for the Panthers even though he was injured. A willingness to suffer out of love for our neighbour is at the heart of both rugby league and Christianity.

Every year, people (myself included) have questioned whether Penrith finally lost one star too many. And every year, the team has proven the doubters wrong.

But moments like these remind us that the real value of athletes isn’t limited to what they do on the field. It’s in how they use their platform to serve and inspire beyond the game.
