Bishop Peter Ingham recalls his early days of priesthood serving St Joseph’s parish in Newtown and the rocky start to his friendship with its pastor Monsignor John Byrne.

Paw-rishioners of St Joseph’s Newtown were treated to a “dog’s breakfast” on 4 February, and they woofed it down. More than 30 canines of all shapes and sizes attended the special event, which included home-made dog biscuits, a blessing and doggy certificate.
