St Luke the Evangelist Parish in Revesby has installed a first-class relic of the Ulma family, the Polish Catholic family killed by the Nazis in 1944 for sheltering their Jewish neighbours.

Six months after receiving a first-class relic of St Faustina Kowalska and installing her statue, St Luke’s Parish in Revesby is preparing for Divine Mercy Sunday.

For the third-year running, St Luke’s Parish in Sydney’s south-west has welcomed the community to celebrate Señor Santo Niño de Cebu, the Holy Child Jesus, on 18 January with a 10am Mass followed by a fiesta.

Bishop Daniel Meagher told St Luke’s parish in Revesby that St Charbel should teach us how to love God in stillness and silence.

A monk from the mountains of Lebanon continues to inspire big faith in the heart of Revesby. St Luke’s Parish will celebrate the feast of St Charbel on Sunday, 20 July, beginning with a 10am Mass led by Bishop Daniel Meagher, followed by a vibrant celebration in the parish grounds.

More than 1000 Catholics welcomed a first-class relic of St Charbel all the way from Annaya, Lebanon to St Luke’s Revesby, all thanks to the efforts of one determined parishioner—and the help of grace.

On a day commemorating the 500th anniversary of Santo Niño de Cebú, Bishop Terrence Brady blessed a new statue of the infant Jesus.
