Pope Francis gave a significant gesture to a man in need during world day of the poor.
Last week Pope Francis had received a pair of new shoes, size 42, and decided to donate them to the Vatican office in charge of charity: the papal alms office.
This office gave them to Giuseppe, who has been living on the street for years. This was confirmed by the cardinal in charge of this department.
A luncheon for the needy was held on Sunday, where the pope shared a meal with 1300 guests without resources.
